Background

Anne C. Chernish, Sole Proprietor, began offering investment advisory and financial planning services in Ithaca, New York during 1989. In 2007, the firm was incorporated as Anchor Capital Management, LLC, a New York Limited Liability Company. While Anne Chernish is currently the sole and managing member, the new structure is envisioned to provide continuity of service to its clients and community.

Anne brings to her practice extensive experience in major stock brokerage and financial planning firms, including several years with industry pioneer John C. Ray in Palo Alto, California.

Anne was formerly licensed NASD series 1, 7 and 24. Anne C. Chernish is a Certified Financial Planner ™ practitioner and a New York State Life Insurance Consultant. She has also been referenced in many industry publications. Anchor Capital Management, LLC is a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA).

William N. Chernish, PhD. BSME, Duke University; MBA and PhD University of Pennsylvania Wharton Graduate School of Business and Finance. 40 years in education, government and entrepreneurial activities. He is FINRA Series 65 licensed. Best friend and husband of Anne Chernish, consults with Anchor in market development and portfolio management.

Susan Simmons has been the Administrator for Anchor Capital Management, LLC since 2003, and handles all matters related to the administration of client portfolios, as well as the day-to-day operation of our business. She also works closely with our Custodians. Susan has held managerial positions in fields which include the financial services industry, real estate, insurance and large event planning.

CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER and CFP are certification marks owned by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. These marks are awarded to individuals who successfully complete the CFP Board's initial and ongoing certification requirements.
