Institutional Money Management
Investment Philosophy for Institutions
The investment philosophy for an institution may already be carefully articulated by the institution’s management and board team. The role of Anchor Investment Management, LLC will be to understand the philosophy and to craft an appropriate strategy to achieve short- and long-term capital budgetary goals and annual cash flow requirements. Anne C. Chernish, managing member of Anchor Capital Management, LLC is available to work with the board team to craft and develop any portion of those needs.
Once the institutional goals and requirements are mutually understood, the role of Anchor Capital Management, LLC is to analyze, select, and manage appropriate securities. Approaching an optimal mix is achieved by continuous attention to:
- Regular monitoring of the macro environmental conditions while identifying undervalued asset classes, industries and firms.
- Developing and maintaining a disciplined strategy for selecting and monitoring investment opportunities from the many thousands available in the global marketplace. Both commonly-used and proprietary metrics are employed to value and monitor investments given institutional goals regarding risk, volatility, interest rate fluctuations, liquidity and inflation.
- Periodic communication with the institution team to ensure they are comfortable with acceptance of risks and portfolio performance. The process uncovers and explains the nature of market risks, and the acceptance of market corrections. Anchor works to help the institution team understand that acceptance of various levels of risk are necessary in the pursuit of certain performance objectives.
Anchor Capital Management, LLC’s managing member’s long experience as a seasoned investment professional provides a strong basis for working with clients to achieve individual portfolio performance objectives.
